Tulips in Holland Michigan

Best time to visit is in May. It will take about half a day to cover a typical tulip garden with all the click click clicks. Make plans to visit the beach on lake michigan. The beach has huge area of sand cover and is lovely. If you are travelling in a group do plan to bring some food and eat at beach, relax and play a bit before you hit the road back home.

Starved Rock

Few days ago I visited Starved Rock a beautiful place in Illinois. It has an amazing hiking trail for nature lovers.

Best things to do:

Get to this place early in the morning. Pack your backpacks with food and water. Hit the trail straight away. There are amazing places in the trail to stop for rest and rejuvenate your energy levels. I would not recommend the 25$ cruise that is offered in the park. I think it is far less worth than the beauty the trail offers. I made the mistake of hoping onto the cruise and wasted couple hours (one waiting for the boat and the other on the boat).

Kids

It is always fun playing with the kids. It is amazing just few months into their life how different each kid is. Each kid's reactions are so different to the surroundings, strangers and the amount of cajoling it takes to gain their trust to accept us into their world.

What goes through their mind?

Over the last week my niece (1+ years old) visited us with her grand parents. With four adults arround her for everything that happens during the day she always calculates who is the best person that can deliver it to her.
